Before a fall (For Galen)
Apr. 4th, 2016 04:49 pmMolly had been putting this off for weeks and finally she'd swallowed her damn pride and made her way through the city to find Galen.
He lived a ways out of town but the walk was good for her. She needed time to figure out how to explain Winter to someone that she'd barely even explained her powers to. The sparring session they'd planned before the Fomor had attacked them had been meant to show him. Instead she showed him the darkness that could rule her if she let it.
To say that it hadn't worked out was an understatement.
So here she was, trudging through city towards his house in the woods to apologise and hopefully make some amends.
The house when she found it was very much Galen and she relaxed a little, smiling as she took a breath and knocked on the door.

All that's real anymore (For Will)
Mar. 4th, 2016 05:01 pmEverything was tinged with light. It was pitch dark but she could see as if everything was glowing around her. Faerie sight. Winter was driving now and the part of her that was Molly Carpenter, human being, was taking a back seat.
It was good.
She passed a window as she walked and caught her reflection. She turned this way and that examining herself. Where her long hair was usually blonde it was now white, her blue eyes, icy silver and slitted like a cats. Much better. She looked like the Fae Queen she was and Winters magic rolled through the air around her to dress her appropriately. The denim jeans and thick sweater were replaced with a gown of blue tinged purple, bodice cupping her breasts and hugging her figure all the way to the floor and ending in a train of smoke behind her, fur stole settling around her bare shoulders, heavy boots disappeared leaving her feet bare. A few physical injuries marred the perfection of her skin and she frowned, focusing on them until they closed under the weight of her magic, leaving her flawless once again.
The Winter Lady nodded at her reflection, satisfied, and walked on through the night.
Adrenaline from the fight was still coursing through her body. It had been an intense battle, Galen proving himself a worthy partner. He walked away relatively unscathed, she supposed, as had she, although the amount of power she had thrown around had been substantial enough to require bolstering from Winter. As it should be. Winter wasn't to be denied forever.
Her feet carried her towards a familiar building and she looked up to a lighted window. He was inside, waiting for her to return. She smiled and stepped up to the entrance to the building, flicking her wrist absently to open it and heading straight up the door where she knew he would waiting for her. She remembered the wards and dismissed those with another gesture, not bothering to knock, just opening the door and walking inside.
"Hello." She purred as he looked in her direction. "I hope I'm not disturbing you."

Waters run deep. (For Galen)
Feb. 8th, 2016 05:17 pmPetros park was quiet this late at night, thankfully. The kind of training she'd promised Galen needed to be away from people so she'd picked a spot on the edge of the lake that cut through the park. Galen was running a little late, but she didn't mind. Cold as it was, the moon was bright and the sounds of the city were far away. She liked the city best like this...when she was outside of it.
Molly strolled along the shore to a bench beside a copse of trees. Pulling out her phone, she tapped out a text to Will to tell him she would probably be too late to stop by the station to meet him and that he should head home without her. His reply was short and sweet and Molly smiled in the dark at her phone as she sat down on the bench at the side of the lake to wait.

Persuasion. (For Thea)
Jan. 16th, 2016 10:13 pmMolly had a nervous headache.
They'd been going over the business plan for hours and their appointment with the bank manager was in less than half an hour. The coffee shop across the road had played host to them for at least two hours already. It was possible the headache was more due to the excessive amounts of sugary tea Molly had been drinking, but she wasn't about to rule out her nerves.
She gathered the papers for the third time and put them away neatly.
"And you've got the supplier list, right?" Molly asked even though she knew the answer. This was all kinda old hat for Thea, but it was all new territory for Molly.

Seeing in the New Year! (For Will)
Jan. 1st, 2016 11:35 pmIf she was honest, she probably could have stayed at the party a little longer, but she realised early in the evening that she didn't really want to be there. She had fun and she was glad to have seen Thea, but her heart wasn't in it. Her heart was back at Bramford with Will and now she was itching to get back there, back to him, to see in the new year with the person she wanted to spend the next one with.
She looked at her watch again as she reached their building and dashed up the stairs, tapping in the code to open the front door and then heading straight to Will's apartment. She straightened her hair and knocked, bouncing from foot to foot, with the cold and with the determination to get her lips on his before midnight.

Lab Time! (For Alec)
Dec. 26th, 2015 10:51 pmThe warehouse that Molly and Thea had...appropriated was freezing this time of year. Even the space heaters Molly had bought and hooked up to the tapped electrical lines were barely making a dent in the chill of the basement area she'd claimed for her lab. She'd been working like that for an hour before she finally gave up and allowed herself to burn the energy to to shield the whole area.
After that it started warming up and she finally managed to do some work, pulling together some potions for Regina and the trial at her store. It was going to take all of her stocks and supplies but it was worth it for the chance to sell out of there.
She stirred a few of the pans settled over the candle burners and murmured a few words before she went back to studying the arrow she'd taken from Alec on the beach the other day. It wasn't Marked the way he was, the way his clothes were, but it held the echoes of the Marks and that was worth investigating on it's own. She wondered idly if today was the day he'd pick to drop by. She'd given him the address weeks ago but she could understand his hesitance, especially now with his sister back in town.
She opened her notebook and stuck her pen in her mouth and settled in for a long night.

Movie Night! (For Thea)
Sep. 16th, 2015 03:12 pmMagically summoned lizard-armidillo creatures make oddly good house pets. Greenie (she needed a better name for him but Molly couldn't bring herself to officially name him 'Asshole' even though that's what she called him when he attacked her ankles which happened enough that she's taken to wearing socks to bed every night.) was proving her point by dozing contentedly, wrapped around the back of her neck as she finished up the last of a batch of potions she'd been working on. She was hoping there'd be some kind of market for the kind of thing she was good at. Confidence boosters, energy boosters that wouldn't give you a heart attack or rot your teeth, hair growth potions...that kind of thing. She didn't know how she was going to sell them or who to, but it was good to keep her hand in.
She'd just finished the last of some minor cosmetic potions when the doorbell rang. Thea was due for movie night and she was bringing Fred with her so Greenie had some company for a change. Greenie for his part, seemed to be able to feel Freds presence as he immediately sat up on Molly's shoulder and started making the odd little purr he made when he was happy.
Molly tossed her heavy apron onto the hook beside the door and opened it.
"Please tell me you brought beer because there is pizza on the way and pizza without beer is a travesty."

Beach time! (For Daniel)
Aug. 14th, 2015 11:33 amThe weather was due to stay good today and that was a blessing. She'd had a long week and now she was looking forward to a day in the sun.
Molly zipped up her hoodie over her bathing suit and grabbed her bag before she headed up to Daniels apartment. She rapped on the door loudly and called through it.
"Daniel! Come on! I want to get there before the icecream van moves over to the park!"

Pottering around the house (for Daniel)
Jul. 30th, 2015 03:31 pmMolly was baking. She'd promised the Teller kids her mom's butter biscuits for breakfast tomorrow but she'd forgotten the recipe, so here she was, spotted with flour as she tried to figure it out. Failed attempts littered the counter-tops along with the three types of bread she made for the family during the week cooling on racks with the muffins and cookies she'd felt like making.
It was only when she took a bathroom break and came back that she realised exactly how much she'd baked and the fact that there was only one of her.
"Okay...guess I better find a foodbank or something." She muttered to herself as she went to get the latest attempt from the oven.
